Clear answers for better property research.

The practical guide to using HomeRadar, understanding its evidence, and keeping your account working smoothly.

Three useful places to begin.

Getting started

Build a useful research routine.

What can I do before I sign in?

You can explore the site, open the demo report and see preview research tools. Saving homes, comparing a shortlist and opening your own full buyer reports need a HomeRadar account.

How do I save a property?

Use the HomeRadar Chrome extension while viewing a supported listing, then choose Save. Your saved homes appear in your shortlist after you sign in with the same HomeRadar account.

What does my plan include?

Starter includes 50 valuations each month, Plus includes 100 and Pro includes 150. Monthly valuation allowances currently reset on the first day of each calendar month (UTC). The planning analytics dashboard and PDF export are included in Pro and Investor. Consumer subscriptions do not include Planning API access or API keys.

Reports and valuations

Read the evidence with confidence.

Is Fair Value an asking-price recommendation?

No. Fair Value is an evidence-led estimate based on available completed sales and market adjustment. It is a research signal, not a survey, mortgage valuation or instruction on what to offer.

Why does a report show Moderate, Indicative or Insufficient evidence?

The evidence label tells you how closely the available sales match the home and how much usable information was available. Lower evidence means the estimate should carry less weight, not that the property is necessarily good or bad value.

What does 'Needs analysis' mean on a saved home?

HomeRadar does not currently have a usable valuation for that saved listing. It can happen when the property details or comparable-sale evidence are too limited. We show that openly instead of filling the gap with a misleading number.

Why can local sales be outside the exact postcode?

A radius search can cross postcode boundaries. Reports make that clear because a nearby completed sale can still be relevant, while an outcode alone may be too broad for a reliable comparison.

Your shortlist

Keep the homes that matter organised.

How do I compare homes?

Open Saved homes, tick two or three properties, then use Compare homes. The comparison keeps asking price, fair value, evidence, crime, transport and schools side by side.

Why is a saved valuation marked stale?

A valuation can become stale as market data ages. The badge helps you spot a number that should be treated as older research. A fresh label means the stored valuation is still within its expected freshness window.

Can I remove a home from my shortlist?

Yes. Choose Remove on the saved-home row, or use the Saved control in the extension panel. Removing a home does not change the original property listing.

Local signals

Use local data as context.

How is crime shown?

Crime is local context, not a safety verdict. HomeRadar presents recorded incidents and their category breakdown so you can judge the mix and ask better questions when viewing an area.

How are schools and transport chosen?

We show nearby schools and transport options as location context. Distances are approximate, and a short distance does not guarantee a school place, route frequency or suitability for your journey.

Where are rental yields and planning approval rates?

Those are being prepared with clearer source and sample-size guidance. They will appear only when the underlying data is ready to support an honest, useful explanation.

Account and privacy

Keep your HomeRadar account secure.

I forgot my password. What should I do?

Use Reset password from the sign-in page. We send a one-time link to your account email. If it does not arrive, check spam and request a fresh link rather than reusing an older one.

Can I update my email address?

Yes. Open Account after signing in and update your email there. The change follows a secure confirmation flow so another person cannot silently take over your account.

What does HomeRadar keep?

Your account and saved-home information are used to provide your workspace. We do not show your private report access links or sign-in secrets in the product support tools.

Still stuck?

Start with your account.

If something looks wrong with your saved homes or access, sign in first so we can keep your workspace private and accurate.
